Plain-English summary. Anwar Ul Salawat is a fully offline reader for classical Islamic Durood and Salawat texts. It does not collect, transmit, store on any server, or share any personal data whatsoever. Everything happens on your device.

1. What data the app handles

The app stores the following on your device only, using Android's standard local storage (AsyncStorage):

Bookmarks — line IDs you mark as bookmarks.
Last-read position — which line you were viewing last in each book.
Reader settings — your chosen font size and theme.

This data never leaves your device. It is excluded from Android's Auto Backup mechanism via the app's data_extraction_rules.xml.

2. What the app does NOT collect

No name, email, phone number, or account information — the app has no accounts.
No location data.
No device identifiers, advertising ID, or analytics.
No crash reports or usage telemetry.
No contacts, photos, files, microphone, or camera access.
No network requests of any kind during normal use.

3. Permissions requested

The only Android permission declared is INTERNET, which is automatically included by the React Native framework but is not used by the app at runtime. The app makes no outbound network requests during normal operation.

The following permissions are explicitly removed from the app manifest:

4. Children

The app is rated for general audiences (13+). It does not target children specifically and does not collect any data from any user, including children. There are no in-app advertisements, in-app purchases, or external links inside the reading experience.

5. Third-party services

None. The app does not integrate with any third-party SDK, analytics provider, advertising network, crash reporter, or backend service.

6. Changes to this policy

If a future version of the app introduces network features (for example, audio recitation streaming or cloud bookmark backup), this policy will be updated to disclose that before the change ships. An in-app notice will be shown on the first launch of the updated version.
