Privacy Policy — Anwar Ul Ghazali

1. What data the app handles

The app stores the following on your device only, using Android's standard local storage (AsyncStorage):

• Bookmarks — line IDs you mark as bookmarks while reading.
• Last-read position — which line you were on in each book, so the app can scroll you back when you reopen it.
• Reader settings — your chosen font size, font family, theme preference, and language visibility toggles (Arabic / Urdu / English).

This data never leaves your device. It is excluded from Android's Auto Backup mechanism.

2. What the app does NOT collect

• No name, email, phone number, or account information — the app has no accounts.
• No location data.
• No device identifiers, advertising ID, or analytics.
• No crash reports or usage telemetry.
• No contacts, photos, files, microphone, or camera access.
• No network requests of any kind during normal use.

3. Sharing feature

The app includes a "Share to WhatsApp" feature that lets you save a verse card as a JPEG to your device and then share it via the standard Android share sheet. The image is generated entirely on your device. The app does not transmit any data when you use this feature; the share sheet you see is the operating system's own — Anwar Ul Ghazali does not know whether you complete the share or where you send the image.

4. Permissions requested

The only Android permission declared is INTERNET, which is automatically included by the React Native framework but is not used by the app at runtime. The app makes no outbound network requests during normal operation.

The following permissions are explicitly removed from the app manifest:

• READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE
• WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE
• SYSTEM_ALERT_WINDOW
• VIBRATE

5. Children

The app is rated for general audiences (13+). It does not target children specifically and does not collect any data from any user, including children. There are no in-app advertisements, in-app purchases, or external links inside the reading experience.

6. Third-party services

None. The app does not integrate with any third-party SDK, analytics provider, advertising network, crash reporter, or backend service.

7. Changes to this policy

If a future version of the app introduces a feature that involves a network request or external service (for example, audio recitation streaming or cloud bookmark sync), this policy will be updated to disclose that before the change ships. An in-app notice will be shown on the first launch of the updated version.
